Credit Suisse Asset Managment boosts UK equity team.

Credit Suisse Asset Management has strengthened its UK equity fund management team with the appointment of Richard Colwell and Stuart Harris.Colwell joins as a UK equity portfolio manager from Schroder Investment Management. He will manage UK institutional and specialist equity portfolios and report to Leigh Harrison, director and senior portfolio manager of UK equities.Harris is promoted from his previous roles in corporate strategy and mergers and acquisitions, and now will support Crispin Finn, director and porfolio manager of UK equities in all aspects of portfolio management and research for UK smaller companies.The appointments follow the recent addition of three fund managers to the team following the acquisition of SLC Asset Management, bringing the total UK equity team to eight. They are supported by 15 pan-European in-house research analysts.Jane Collins, co-head of CSAM's UK institutional marketing, said: "These latest appointments allow CSAM to build upon the successful integration of SLC Asset Management earlier this year and provide a platform for a highly competitive UK equity offering."
