WWE Names Avail-TVN VOD Services Partner

Avail-TVN, an independent digital media services company in North America, announced a VOD service deal to support World Wrestling Entertainment's various VOD programming initiatives.

Included under the deal is distribution for WWE Classics On Demand, WWE's VOD product that allows WWE fans to access current and classic matches; pay-per-views, episodes of primetime series such as "Monday Night Raw" and WCW Nitro, as well as original series such as the roundtable talk show "Legends of Wrestling."
Avail-TVN said it will support all of WWE's VOD needs including multiple codecs (MPEG2 and MPEG4), SD and HD, asset management tools and services, programming stunts, as well as turn services to accommodate VOD advertising sales timelines and other high profile programming.

"We've been using Avail-TVN's services for nearly five years and are continually impressed with their business acumen, customer service, responsiveness and strategic insight," said Jim Brown, Director of Operations, WWE Classics On Demand.

"We continue to enhance customized solutions for our content partners, including the ability to modify VOD assets during their lifecycle, which allows partners like WWE to quickly respond to VOD usage trends, ultimately resulting in an optimized offering for their affiliates and fans," said Matt Cohen SVP, Content Services for Avail-TVN.

WWE Classics On Demand utilizes Avail-TVN's ADONISS 2 Asset Managment platform that houses all of the content and the PRI interface that allows each provider to remotely manage their content.
