NSW: Man arrested after hostage situation at school
A man's been arrested after threatening to set fire to a school where he held children
hostage in Sydney's south-west.
The siege occurred at Miller Community Preschool and Primary School in Shropshire Street.
Police and education department officers say all children have been released unharmed
and are undergoing counselling and assessment by ambulance staff.
Police say the man has been taken to Green Valley police station.
They say a man carrying a petrol container entered a building and locked himself in
a room with others, threatening to ignite the container.
Police say the man was taken into custody without incident about 11.25am.
