SA: Snowtown killers denied appeal

ADELAIDE, Aug 11 AAP - Australia's worst serial killers, John Justin Bunting and Robert
Joe Wagner, were today refused permission to appeal their murder convictions.

In the South Australian Supreme Court of Criminal Appeal, Justice John Perry rejected
the arguments for appeal of the bodies-in-barrels killers.

Last year, Bunting and Wagner were sentenced to life imprisonment without parole for
multiple murders.

Bunting was found guilty of 11 murders while Wagner was found guilty of seven murders
after earlier pleading guilty to another three murders.

The convictions related to the discovery of eight bodies in a disused bank vault at
Snowtown, north of Adelaide, in May 1999, and three other bodies discovered elsewhere
in SA.
